The Park Avenue Tennis Center takes the Covid-19 threat very seriously, and the health and safety of our players and staff is of the utmost importance to us. Following the CDC and USTA guidelines, we have established the following policies and procedures for reopening at Park Avenue Tennis Center:
-
- Any staff member or customer experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 or anyone who has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the past two weeks should not enter the facility.
- All players and staff will be screened for a fever with a non-contact thermometer when they enter the building.
- All players should practice social distancing and follow the Playing Tennis Safety Recommendations from the USTA which are posted throughout the club.
- Park Avenue Tennis Center STRONGLY RECOMMENDS wearing a mask in all common areas.
- Open play may be singles or doubles. Customers must bring their own tennis balls, or they may purchase them from the desk, but they must take the balls with them when they leave.
- Parents will be encouraged to drop off older players for their lessons and parents of younger players will be instructed to sit upstairs on the skywalk to watch their kids, with a limit of 1 parent/guardian per player.
- Park Avenue Tennis Center staff will be limited to 1 person at a time behind the desk. This staff member will be sitting behind a temporary plexiglass partition and will be suggested to have a mask. The mask should be worn as much as possible, especially when customers are nearby.
- Park Avenue Tennis Center staff will be responsible for wiping down the lobby tables & chairs as well as door handles and railings every hour. We have stocked up on hand sanitizer and cleaning spray. We are prepared to keep the facility extremely clean.
- Whenever possible, doors will be propped open so customers can avoid touching door handles.
- We are encouraging all players to book courts and pay online via AceSpaceCourts.com. Most credit cards are accepted. We would like to avoid all transactions at the desk if possible and would like to avoid as much contact between customers and staff at the desk as possible as well. With payments being made online, players should have no reason to congregate at the desk. We will also accept credit card payments over the phone.
- Water fountains and vending machines will be shut down and taped off. Players are reminded to bring their own water bottles and not share with anyone.
- Players must remove all personal items and throw out all trash after play.
- We will have hand sanitizer, gloves, antibacterial soap, and wipes for all equipment available at the tennis facility for you, and request that that you make use of them.
- Players should use their own hand sanitizer before and after each play session. Be sure to clean and wipe down your equipment, including racquets and water bottles. Do not share racquets.
- All players should proceed directly to their cars after play.
